Dave lost his mutant powers (the ability to generate electricity) when he was captured by an evil sorcerer and his apprentice. The controlled his mind and turned him to thier cause, until he was rescued by his fellow Outsiders. He retained the knowledge of the mystic arts he gained from his time with them, and nurtured that power, which he now uses in his quest to preserve others' freedom as Avatar.

DR ZANDAR

Once a well-known biophysicist in old Detroit, Dr Zandar fled after the destruction of the city by Dr Destroyer. His skill for invention and scientific understanding is world-class. Until the 2d Qularr invasion of fall 2009, he was working in the Advanced Research Institute in MC. He is also chief scientific advisor to the Outsiders, many of whom he has known for years.

After serving years in Special Operations Command, Col Hawke became a special advisor to superhuman affairs in Millineum City. He is still known to lend his talents to the MCPD and PRIMUS when unusual threats are present, but also spends a good deal of time being tactical advisor to The Outsiders.

Eddie Correlli was born a mutant. After a troubled youth on the streets of NYC, his power manifested at puberty. He was 'scared straight' after nearly killing a man, and put himself through college as a mechanic. Later, he became involved in mechanical engineering. He's been a casual (associate) member of the Outsiders for over 15 years. Eddie's power is the ability to alter the form and density of his body to that of living diamond.

Originally part of the elite guard for a Lyran Count in another part of our galaxy, M'ralla bought time for her liege to escape the freak phenomenon the ended up teleporting her to our world. Neither Lyran nor Human had encountered each other before, but she was fortunate to meet Dr Zandar, who helped her assimilate. She chose the name "Tigerra" and puts her combat training to use defending the innocent while she searches for the way home.

Whisked through the mists of Avalon by mystical feedback from the recent nefarious activities of certain magical villans, the fey who calls herself simply "Sprite" in our world still has a strong sense of value for life in general and freedom in particular (with more than a hint of mischieviousness).
